I know it’s written down somewhere, so I have to find it because I think he’s missing some of the details. I remember Mom saying that she once said to Grandmother, “I’m so impressed that you let him go across the country by himself at that age!”
And Grandmother said, “Barbara, I was worried every minute he was gone.”

It's a wonderful story! He goes by himself hundreds of miles, he gets off the train once and it leaves without him....it's so exciting!
